Napoli’s sporting director Manna is making positive strides in England to finalize the club’s incoming transfer business. The focus is on securing deals for both Romelu Lukaku and Billy Gilmour.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that a pivotal meeting is scheduled for Thursday in London between Manna and Chelsea representatives to determine the right formula for Lukaku’s transfer. Currently, Chelsea appears reluctant to consider a loan deal, as they have only two slots available for international loan operations, which they prefer to reserve for more complex transactions. Instead, the English club is pushing for a permanent transfer of Lukaku, potentially with a low initial payment in the first year.
The player’s agent will also be present in London on Thursday, potentially making this a decisive meeting for Lukaku’s future.
Regarding Billy Gilmour, Napoli has successfully reached an agreement with both Brighton and the player’s representatives. The transfer is now pending Brighton’s acquisition of their identified replacement, O’Riley.
