Napoli are closely following Fenerbahce talents Ferdi Kadioglu and Arda Guler and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has already been to watch them in person. The Partenopei lost a number of key first team players in the summer but their transfer business has been heralded as some of the best in Europe with the arrivals of Kim Min-Jae, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The new additions have helped propel them up the table, giving them an eight point lead in first place ahead of the season restart in January.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via IlNapolista) report that Kadioglu has ‘exploded’ at Fenerbahce, right after the departure of Eljif Elmas who joined Napoli in 2019. Kadioglu is described as a player with intensity on the ball who can easily play a number of roles across the midfield with continuity, making him a perfect option.
The other Turkish gem followed by Napoli is Guler, dubbed “the Turkish Messi”, because of his ability to play the trequartista role so well, for which he has earned comparisons with the Argentine great.
According to Gazzetta, Napoli have been ‘working on both players for some time’ with scouts having observed them on numerous occasions, and they could make a bid to sign them in the summer.
