Napoli are making a last-minute bid to sign Genoa defender Radu Dragusin, despite Tottenham Hotspur pushing to agree a deal in January. A deal between Spurs and the Grifone was thought to be at an advanced stage, with the player reportedly having agreed terms, leaving the two clubs to agree a fee.
Sky Sport Italia report that Spurs have offered €22/23 million, but the Rossoblù are holding firm on their valuation of €30/35 million.
The Partenopei have now made an offer of their own, tabling a bid that includes €20m and the full transfer defender Leo Ostigard, who previously played for Genoa.
Dragusin’s agent Florin Manea commented on interest in his client in an interview with TvPlay, saying:
“He’ll certainly land in a top club eventually. He doesn’t care about money, but rather he wants to have a great career. I haven’t heard from the Azzurri. He’s not totally sure about leaving Genoa midseason. In my mind, he’s perfect to play in the Premier League. He doesn’t feel the pressure. We haven’t received an offer from the Spurs: I’m ready to listen if they come to terms with Genoa. In our only meeting with them, they asked me about his character.”
