Napoli Reaches Agreement with Everton for Lindstrom Transfer

Start

Napoli have  successfully negotiated a deal with Everton for the transfer of Danish midfielder Jesper Lindstrom. The agreement marks a significant step in the player’s potential move to the Premier League, following a season of limited opportunities in Serie A.

Gianluca Di Marzio outlines how the transfer is structured as a loan with an option to buy, allowing Everton to assess Lindstrom’s performance before committing to a permanent deal. This arrangement suits both clubs, with Napoli looking to offload a player who struggled to make an impact during his time in Italy.

Lindstrom, who joined Napoli just last summer from Eintracht Frankfurt for around €30 million, failed to meet expectations in his debut season. The 24-year-old made 29 appearances across all competitions but failed to register a single goal or assist in his 587 minutes of play.

Despite interest from other clubs, including Marseille and Lyon, Everton has emerged as the frontrunner for Lindstrom’s signature. The Merseyside club, known for its ambition in the transfer market, sees potential in the Danish international to bolster their attacking options.

The next step in finalizing the transfer lies with Lindstrom himself. The player now needs to reach personal terms with Everton, a process that both clubs hope will proceed smoothly given the agreement already in place at the club level.
