Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis was present at the Rome prosecutors office as part of the ongoing investigation into Victor Osimhen’s transfer from Lille.
The allegations stem from Osimhen’s transfer from the Ligue 1 side to Napoli, where the Prtenopei reportedly offered cash along with four players as part of the deal. However, the investigation focuses on accusations that Napoli inflated the values of the players involved to meet the requested transfer fee.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, De Laurentiis appeared at the Rome prosecutor’s office earlier today accompanied by his lawyer, Fabio Fulgeri, to address questions related to the case. While De Laurentiis is currently under investigation in connection with the transfer, he is not facing trial at the moment.
Additionally, the entire Napoli board is under scrutiny as part of the ongoing investigation. Initially, the documents pertaining to the false accounting case were in the hands of prosecutors in Naples, but they have since been transferred to Rome for further examination.
