Reports from France suggest Napoli are very close to agreeing a deal for Moroccan midfielder Azzedine Ounahi. The Partenopei have been linked with the World Cup star following his impressive displays in Qatar and are keen to beat the opposition in securing a deal for the Angers player.
L’Equipe report that several clubs are following the 22-year-old who is still under contract until 2026, and Angers are listening to offers for their starlet. Despite the interest, Napoli are reportedly ahead in the race to sign the player and are at the most advanced stage.
According to the report, the Serie A league leaders have already made ‘concrete’ progress in their efforts to sign Ounahi with a suggestion that they have made a firm offer already.
Previous reports had claimed that Napoli had an edge in any talks because they were prepared to sign the youngster and leave him on loan Angers until the end of the season.
