Napoli make first offer for Beto

Start

Napoli have already made a first bid for Udinese striker Beto, believed to be in the region of €25 million. The Brazilian forward joined the Bianconeri in 2021 and has gone on to hit-double-digits in both his seasons in Udine.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that contacts have already begun between Napoli and Udinese for the striker, with an initial offer of €25 million having been made, however the Friulani are holding out for at least €35 million.

Napoli may try and lower the asking price by including a player in the exchange, however Di Marzio points to positive relations between the two clubs, suggesting a deal might be agreed through ongoing talks.

The Partenopei are also reportedly looking at Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardžić and defender Becao, who only has a year left on his contract.

Di Marzio suggests that Napoli are not keen to spent €35 million on Beto, but the move would be a ‘precautionary and preventive’ measure in anticipation of Victor Osimhen leaving the club this summer.
