Napoli eyeing David Neres as Lindstrom replacement while evaluating three potential departures

Start

Napoli’s sporting director Manna continues to strengthen the squad to meet the requirements of new manager Antonio Conte. According to Corriere dello Sport (via TMW), David Neres of Benfica has emerged as a target to fill the void left by Jesper Lindstrom’s move to Everton. Neres, who is also on Besiktas’ radar, could provide the attacking spark Conte is looking for in his new-look Napoli side.

Meanwhile, Conte faces decisions regarding several players already in the squad who saw limited playing time last season. Jens Cajuste’s future at the club appears uncertain, especially if Napoli succeeds in acquiring Marco Brescianini. The Danish midfielder may find himself surplus to requirements under the new tactical setup.

Defender Natan, however, seems to have impressed Conte during the pre-season training in Trentino. The Brazilian’s attitude and performance have caught the eye of the Italian manager, potentially securing his place in the squad for the upcoming season.

Juan Jesus is another player whose position at the club is under review. The experienced Brazilian defender’s role in Conte’s plans remains to be determined as the new manager assesses his defensive options.
