Napoli are giving serious consideration to making a move for soon-to-be free-agent Leonardo Spinazzola this summer. The 31-year-old is set to leave Roma after five seasons with the club, after the Giallorossi made the decision not to renew his contract.
According to Sky Sport Italia, new Napoli coach Antonio Conte had previously expressed interest in bringing Spinazzola to Inter during his tenure there, making the Italian wing-back a viable candidate for Napoli’s left flank in the former Tottenham manager’s preferred 4-4-2 formation.
While Spinazzola is attracting attention from abroad, Napoli are definitely one of the Italian sides in the race for his signature. Additionally, Napoli are considering Amar Dedic from Red Bull Salzburg for the right flank.
Spinazzola had a significant role in Roma’s season, featuring in 24 Serie A matches, scoring one goal and providing two assists. In the Coppa Italia, he made two appearances, contributing one assist.
