Napoli are hard at work in their efforts to finalise the contract renewal of striker Victor Osimhen, aiming to secure a signature before the end of their pre-season training camp. The 24-year-old still has two years left on his contract with the Partenopei, but his stellar performances in their title run last season has attracted the attentions of Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has always been adamant that it would take an offer close to €200 million for him to even entertain the thought of selling Osimhen, while recent reports claim that he was optimistic of securing a contract extension for the Nigerian striker.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Osimhen’s agent Calenda has now left the Napoli training camp in Dimaro after three days of talks with De Laurentiis.
The report suggests that there has been progress between the two parties and an agreement could be reached before the end of the pre-season training camp which ends on August 12.
