Napoli have agreed a deal with Sassuolo to sign young Italian forward Giacomo Raspadori with a medical planned for today. The 22-year-old was the subject of interest from Juventus, Inter and Milan but the Partenopei have won out for the promising Italian international.
Gianluca Di Marzio writes that Raspadori is now a Napoli played after the two sides reached a total agreement on a transfer deal. The move is expected to cost Napoli €5m for an initial loan an then €25m to sign the player outright, payable over five years, including various bonuses.
The player will sign a five-year contract worth €2.5 million a year and is expected in Naples today for his club medical. He could earn up to a further €5m in bonuses, should Napoli qualify for the Champions League and if he also scores a certain number of goals.
Raspadori had a breakout season in 2021-22 where he scored 10 goals in 37 appearances for the Neroverdi while also earning call-ups to the national team.
