Napoli address Osimhen Rumors: “No one has contacted us”

Start

Napoli is actively dismissing the swirling rumours surrounding Victor Osimhen, with the club’s sporting director Giovanni Manna stating, “We’re talking about it too much.” The Nigerian striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been linked to several top European clubs, including Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus.

Before the Serie A match against Lazio, Manna spoke to DAZN about various topics, including Osimhen’s future. He emphasized that Napoli is focused on their own progress rather than external speculation. “We are always working on ourselves; we do not look at the standings or others. This is our secret. We are on a journey, and every match has its value. We aim to build something significant based on solidity, work, and team spirit.”

Regarding Osimhen’s potential transfer in January, Manna clarified the current situation: “No one has contacted us. Victor is a Napoli player who is playing at Galatasaray. We are discussing this too much. At this moment, there is absolutely nothing happening. We are focused on the pitch; we made many moves in the summer. If we need to make changes, we will be ready as we always have been.”

Manna also addressed the club’s readiness for potential interventions in the January transfer window: “We are strongly focused on our weekly commitments in the league. If there is an opportunity to improve the squad, we will do it, but right now we are not thinking about that. Today we have a very complicated match against a strong team that is making significant changes to their lineup. I want to emphasize this because it’s said that we changed eleven players, but Lazio also changes nine… We must stay focused; they are a strong opponent doing really well. We need to commend Baroni for his excellent work. Again, it’s our job to be ready, and if an opportunity arises, we will act.”
