Napoli blew Juventus away with a sensational performance, putting five goals past Juve with Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia stealing the show.
Napoli
Meret: Did well on the one early Juve chance, even if it was straight at him. Excellent save to deny a potential own-goal, and seldom troubled when Napoli started to go through the gears. 6.5/10
Di Lorenzo: Smart at the back to deny Juve on some set-pieces and provided a great assist for one of the goals. 7.0/10
Rrahmani: Important interception to deny Di Maria in the first half and got very lucky when Meret saved his deflected clearance. Made amends with a superb finish to score Napoli’s third, a stunning hit. 7.5/10
Kim: Very assured and composed on the ball when moving out from the back, had absolute control of the Juve front line, what little there was of it, and put in another excellent performance. 7.0/10
Rui: Dogged early performance down the flanks, but did make some unforced errors on occasions. 6.0/10
Anguissa: Relatively quiet in the first half as he was well-marked by Rabiot, but did well enough to snuff out the Juve midfield. 6.0/10
Lobotka: At the heart of the Napoli machine, a typically hard-working and industrious display, keeping his team ticking over. 7.0/10
Zielinski: Helped move Napoli forward when they had the ball and was solid overall. 6.5/10
Politano: Cut a frustrated figure and didn’t really capitalise on the few moments he had in the first half. Substituted at the start of the second half. 5.0/10
Osimhen: His movement off the ball was the difference in the early exchanges, and he duly capitalised on a rebound to put Napoli ahead. Excellent work on Napoli’s second, pressuring Bremer and then squaring the ball for Kvaratskhelia. Scored a superb header and single-handedly tore the Juve defence to shreds. Impeccable. 10/10
Kvaratskhelia: A constant threat with his runs and crosses into the box and was in the perfect position to score Napoli’s second. Set up Osimhen for another and had absolute control of the Juve defence, pulling them out of position, over and over. Exceptional. 9.5/10
Substitutions:
Elmas: Scored a superb goal and helped see out the result with an excellent display from the bench. 7.0/10

Juventus
Szczesny: Torn apart by the relentless Napoli attack, but was done no favours whatsoever by his centre-backs. 5.5/10
Danilo: Had to do better on Napoli’s second goal, constantly out of position and did nothing to help marshal his fellow centre-backs. Horrible. 3.0/10
Sandro: Beaten for pace on more than one occasion by Osimhen, bullied constantly by the Napoli striker. Absolutely woeful when Napoli broke with pace and didn’t have the legs to keep up with the game. Diabolical. 2.5/10
Bremer: One of his worst performances. Ever. Never had control of Osimhen, was physically bullied by the Nigerian striker throughout the game. Poor decision-making, dreadul in the 1v1’s. One to forget, and quickly. 2.0/10
McKennie: A lot of energy, but his end product was lacking, and he only got worse as the game went on. Offered nothing. 3.5/10
Chiesa: Played at RWB and did the best he could, cutting into the pitch and trying to get closer to the Napoli goal. Frustrating night for the winger, who is still not 100%. 6.0/10
Locatelli: Poor early performance, unable to hold onto the ball and his distribution was off. Subbed off. Abysmal. 4.0/10
Rabiot: Did a good job on restricting Anguissa in the early exchanges, and did get into the Napoli box on occasion, but was quiet for large spells. 4.5/10
Kostic: Not good on his crosses, offered no real threat and was constantly poor with his distribution. Juve needed more from him, and he simply didn’t deliver. 3.5/10
Di Maria: Felt the brunt of the Napoli defence, but almost capitalised on a great early chance, clipping the woodwork with an excellent shot from range. Made up for it with an excellent finish to score the Juve goal. The only Juve player to emerge with any semblance of credit. 6.5/10
Milik: Limited service and cut a solitary figure, leading the attack against a tough Napoli back line that seemed to have his measure. His one early chance was straight at Meret, but he set up the Juve goal with a great assist. 5.5/10
