Thiago Motta praised Udinese for their approach to the match, following Bologna’s 3-0 defeat to the Bianconeri. Goals from Roberto Pereyra, Lorenzo Lucca and Martín Payero sealed the result after 50 minutes, leaving Bologna struggling to make a telling impact on the match. Motta made a point of congratulating the opposition when speaking with DAZN after the game, praising their strategies and approach to the match:
“First of all I congratulate Udinese for the strategy they put in place. We struggled losing balls and allowing them counter-attacks in which they’re very strong. At a certain point there was also a bit of madness that doesn’t suit us against a team like Udinese. Congratulations to them because they took the game more on what suits them than on what suits us.”
