Former Inter president Massimo Moratti believes Manchester City should be ‘afraid’ of the Nerazzurri ahead of the Champions League final. The two sides meet in Istanbul on Saturday evening and speaking with Il Giorno, Moratti explained why it would be a mistake to underestimate his former team, especially in a one-off match and how Simone Inzaghi has won him over this season:
“Inter has been surprising in the important matches. Thinking about Inter in Champions League, if I were an opponent I would be afraid. The problem, more than anything, is that every player City brings out is good, they have a great coach but a match is a match and anything can happen.”
“Inzaghi? He has forcefully made me believe again. He did very well, despite the defeats in the league he brought his results home.”
“Zhang? Since Suning arrived at the helm, Inter has won the championship, Coppa Italia, Italian Super Cup, and has reached two European finals. He has achieved the results and they are very good. I find it unfair to criticize him.”
