Monza head coach Salvatore Bocchetti addressed the media in a press conference ahead of the team’s upcoming match against Lazio. The manager provided an update on the squad’s injury situation and shared his thoughts on the club’s recent transfer activities.
Regarding the team’s numerous unavailable players, Bocchetti stated, “As of today, no one has recovered. We’ll see if anything changes during the day before the match. Turati has trained, but we need to evaluate him. For the goalkeeper position, I’m calm because we have Pizzignacco as an alternative. It’s never easy to live in such a situation, but we must continue to work as we are doing.”
The coach expressed optimism about the new arrivals, saying, “I’m very happy with those who have arrived because they are players who have brought enthusiasm. I still see the team with a lot of hunger and determination. Even against Verona, I saw a Monza with the right attitude. The team still believes.”
When asked about Monza’s overall transfer market activities, Bocchetti defended the club’s strategy: “I haven’t seen any dismantling on our part. The players we lost are high-level, but we needed to change something. And when teams like Milan or Atalanta call, it’s difficult to say no. At the same time, I expect a lot from those who have arrived.”
