Monza are making significant changes to their management structure just days before their away match against Torino. The most notable change involves Mauro Bianchessi, currently the general director of the youth sector, who will be assuming the role of sporting director for the first team.
Bianchessi brings a wealth of experience to his new position. His career includes stints as a scout for Brescia and important roles in the youth sectors of Atalanta, Milan, and Lazio. He has been credited with discovering several talented players, including Manuel Locatelli, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Raoul Bellanova, and Andrea Petagna. His successful track record in youth development has now led to this promotion within Monza.
In his new role, Bianchessi will be taking over from Michele Franco, who will remain within the club’s organizational structure. This move signifies an increasing prominence for Bianchessi within the club’s hierarchy.
It’s important to note that Bianchessi’s appointment does not affect the position of François Modesto, who will continue to work alongside Adriano Galliani in leading the club’s transfer market operations. Bianchessi’s role is expected to be cooperative, assisting both Modesto and Galliani in their duties.
