Monza Close to Securing Arvid Brorsson

Start

Monza continue to be one of the most active teams in this winter transfer window, with movements both in and out of the club. The latest development sees the Biancorossi in advanced negotiations with Mjällby AIF for the arrival of Arvid Brorsson.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that following the acquisitions of Palacios and Lekovic, the Swedish defender born in 1999 is set to become the next addition to Monza’s squad. The club is clearly focused on strengthening its defensive line, with an intention to transition to a four-man defence under manager Bocchetti’s new tactical approach.

After securing Palacios from Inter and Lekovic from Red Star Belgrade, Monza has set its sights on another defender. Arvid Brorsson, a central defender standing at almost two meters tall, fits the profile the club is looking for. This move is partly motivated by Bocchetti’s desire to experiment with a four-man defensive line.

To this end, Galliani and the club management have been actively pursuing defensive reinforcements, aiming to provide their coach with a wide range of options to potentially turn the team’s fortunes around. Currently, Monza finds itself at the bottom of the Serie A table, having accumulated just 13 points from 22 matches.
