Milinkovic-Savic rejects Lazio extension, reignites hope for Juventus

Start

With the January transfer window steaming by quickly, Lazio midfield-ace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic seems to be struggling to reach an agreement with the Biancocelesti, reigniting hope for Juventus to acquire the Serbian international.

As it stands, the 27 year-old’s contract with the capital club is set to expire in the summer of 2024. So far this season, Milinkovic-Savic has been in stellar form, attaining three goals and seven assists in 16 games played for Lazio within the Serie A, making him the leading goal provider within the league thus far.

According to reports from Corriere dello Sport, via Tuttojuve, the play-maker has rejected Lazio’s first contract extension offer, leaving an opening for Juventus to potentially jump on the situation and acquire the skipper for a low bargain fee in preparation for next year’s campaign as they had their eye on him for several months since the start of the campaign.
