Milan’s new era: Conceicao arrives, Trincao on the radar

Start

AC Milan have entered a new era with the appointment of Sergio Conceicao as head coach, following the dismissal of Paulo Fonseca. The former Porto manager, who was previously considered by Milan last summer, now takes the reins at San Siro. This change in leadership has naturally sparked discussions about potential transfers as the January window approaches.

Calciomercato report that the Rossoneri are in the market for a dynamic and creative winger to add depth to their squad. This search has become more pressing given Christian Pulisic’s shift to a more central role. The club’s transfer strategy may also be influenced by the performances of Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze, who could potentially be moved on if they fail to impress the new manager.

Jorge Mendes, who represents Conceicao, has reportedly proposed Francisco Trincao to Milan. The 25-year-old Sporting Lisbon attacker, valued at around €25 million, has been in impressive form this season with 6 goals and 11 assists across all competitions. Trincao’s versatility and creativity could make him an ideal fit for Milan’s attacking needs.

Other names linked with a move to Milan include Magnes Akliouche from Monaco and Jamie Leweling from Stuttgart. The club is also said to be monitoring Giovanni Reyna from Borussia Dortmund and Daniel Braganca from Sporting Lisbon, the latter being considered as a potential reinforcement if Ismael Bennacer’s fitness remains a concern.
