AC Milan forward Francesco Camarda spoke to Sky Sport about his experience of becoming the youngest Italian to debut in the Champions League. The young striker expressed his pride in setting the record, stating, “The record gives me a lot of pride, I’m sincere. It pushes me to give more to improve myself and ensure that nights like this happen more often.”
When asked about his disallowed goal, Camarda shared his emotional rollercoaster: “It was the most beautiful emotion of my life, then VAR played a trick on me. I’m very disappointed, but these things happen, especially in today’s football. I want to do more.”
Describing the match as the best day of his life, Camarda struggled to find words to express his feelings. “Yes, absolutely. I can’t find the words to describe it,” he said.
Regarding his future with Milan, the young talent showed his dedication and enthusiasm: “These are the nights you dream of since childhood, so it’s normal that whether you’re a starter, play 70 minutes, 15, or 5, you give your life. For Milan’s future, Youth League, whatever comes, I’ll take it.”
When asked about the moment he realized he could make it, Camarda reflected, “That’s a difficult question. I don’t know, you always dream of a night like this. You imagine it in your head, in the park. It really happened, and what happens, happens.”
