Milan haven’t given up hope of signing Lille midfielder Renato Sanches, despite PSG being tipped to sign him. The Rossoneri had been following the Portuguese international all season and a deal was thought to have already been agreed with just formalities pending.
Ligue 1 champions PSG snuck in at the last minute and had reportedly made a better bid while Sanches was thought to be keen on reuniting with coach Christophe Galtier following their successful time together at Lille.
Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio writes that PSG are putting the brakes on the deal for now which has allowed Milan to resume talks with Lille.
Sanches has spent three seasons with Lille making 91 appearances, scoring 7 goals and winning the Ligue 1 title in 2020-21.
