Milan have received some good news as goalkeeper Mike Maignan is edging closer to a return date for the club. The Frenchman has been out of action for four months after picking up a calf injury and despite expecting to return to action in the new year, his return has been pushed back on a number of occasions.
The Rossoneri have suffered a poor run of form in recent weeks, dropping points against Roma and Lecce before losing 3-0 in the SuperCoppa Italiana against city rivals Inter.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) write that the latest news on Maignan is positive as the most recent checks on the French goalkeeper’s calf showed improvements. While it’s a boost for the club, there is still a long way to go, however Maignan has been aiming to return to the pitch for the Champions League last 16 first leg against Tottenham which will be played at the San Siro on February 14th.
