Milan preparing Olivier Giroud renewal

Start

Milan are reportedly planning a contract extension for striker Olivier Giroud that could keep him at the club until 2025. The veteran French forward turned 37 last week but has no intention of retiring as yet, having already scored four goals in eight games this season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport now report that Milan are ready to offer Giroud a one-year renewal. The striker will be free to negotiate with other clubs in January and the Rossoneri thus want to act quickly to secure his services for at least one more season.

The Rossoneri are reportedly looking to sign a new striker, as the newspaper concludes, so that Giroud won’t be the starter for next season. Medhi Taremi remains an option, but there are also many others that are unknown for now.

Giroud has played 93 games for Milan since arriving in 2021, scoring 36 goals across all competitions.
