Milan Mayor addresses Ultras Investigation and stadium Implications

Start

Giuseppe Sala, the Mayor of Milan, has spoken out about the ongoing investigation into the ultras groups of Inter and AC Milan. His comments came during the presentation of the 10th National Observatory on Sustainable Lifestyle by LifeGate.

Sala expressed his concern over recent events, stating, “What happened is very bad, but what the Prosecutor’s Office is doing is very good. It’s clear that this is a situation that needs to be straightened out quickly because there was a sense that something wasn’t right.”

The mayor acknowledged the broader implications of the investigation, saying, “These investigations have led to the discovery of a series of issues that are obviously a problem for our city and our country. So, great attention is being paid to what is happening.”

Addressing the potential impact on the ongoing discussions about a new stadium for the Milan clubs, Sala doesn’t believe that a possible administration of the two clubs would significantly affect the dialogue. He drew a parallel to a previous situation with the city’s trade fair organization, stating, “Regarding the hypothesis of administration, let’s remember that we had the Fiera in similar conditions for a certain period, and today it’s in a splendid situation. So, we can get through problems.”
