Milan Look to Joao Felix as Rashford Alternative

Start

AC Milan’s search for a new striker in the January transfer window continues to evolve. As their pursuit of Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford faces delays, the Rossoneri are exploring alternative options, with Chelsea’s Joao Felix emerging as a potential target.

Milan’s interest in Rashford has been complicated by competition from Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, prompting the Italian club to consider other possibilities. While they continue negotiations for Manchester City defender Kyle Walker, the club’s attention has now turned to bolstering their attack with Felix.

According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan’s manager Sergio Conceicao is particularly keen on the Portuguese forward. The shared nationality and representation by agent Jorge Mendes could potentially facilitate negotiations.

Felix, born in 1999, currently earns €5.7 million per year including bonuses at Chelsea, where he is under contract until June 2031. The Blues acquired him last summer for €52 million from Atletico Madrid, a significant decrease from the €127 million Atletico paid Benfica in 2019.

This season, Felix has made 19 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists across 941 minutes of play. His previous loan spell at Barcelona last season adds to his experience at top European clubs.
