Milan linked with Manu Koné move

Start

An old interest has resurfaced for AC Milan as Manu Koné, has reappeared on the Rossoneri’s radar for their midfield. With Monaco’s resistance regarding Youssouf Fofana, Koné’s desire for a change of scenery could facilitate a potential move.

Sportitalia claim that the French midfielder, born in 2001 and of Ivorian descent, was previously a target for the Rossoneri in 2021. At that time, he was playing for Toulouse and had been closely followed by Geoffrey Moncada. However, Koné chose to join Borussia Monchengladbach, who signed him for just under €10 million.

Over the years, Koné has become a key player for the German club, but he is now contemplating a future away from the Rhineland. This desire for a transfer has been officially confirmed by Borussia Monchengladbach’s sporting director, who told Kicker:

“Manu Koné told us quite early that he wanted to leave the club, but there are no updates.”

Koné is tied to Borussia Monchengladbach with a contract for another two years, until June 30, 2026, with the club valuing him at around €20 million.
