Milan finalising Pellegrino signing

Start

Milan are close to completing the signing of Platense defender Marco Pellegrino with club President Sebastián Ordoñez flying to Italy to finalise the move. The two sides have been in talks for the young defender for the last week and look to be close to completing the transfer.

Sky Sport Italia report that the Argentinean centre-back’s move to Milan is close, with Platense President Sebastián Ordoñez currently in Milan to meet with Rossoneri directors.

The 21-year-old has a contract with Platense until 2024, meaning he is available at a discount this summer. The Rossoneri are expected to pay between €3-5 million to sign him this week.

Pellegrino has the advantage of having an Italian passport, with reports suggesting that the FIGC have been monitoring Pellegrino with the prospect of offering him a call-up to the national team.
