Milan fans plan pre-match protest against team’s poor start

Start

The Curva Sud, AC Milan’s most passionate fan group, have announced plans for a protest before the upcoming match against Venezia. The supporters are expressing their frustration with the team’s disappointing start to the new season, which they claim reminds them of the struggles at the end of the previous campaign.

In a strongly worded statement, the Curva Sud criticized the “embarrassing spectacle” displayed in Milan’s first three matches of the season. They declared that there are no more excuses or scapegoats, demanding that everyone at the club take responsibility for the poor performances.

The fans are particularly concerned that the current issues mirror those seen at the end of last season, both in terms of negative results and apparent difficulties in managing the squad and dressing room dynamics. The Curva Sud emphasized that the team’s current form does not match their ambitions or expectations for the club.

To voice their discontent, the group has called for all Milan supporters to gather at 6:45 PM in front of the team bus entrance ramp before the Venezia match. Their goal is to send a clear message to the club’s management, coach, and players that September represents a crucial turning point for their season. Statement in full:

“The start of the season of our Milan has been to say the least disappointing, to the point that it seems to relive the end of the season just passed.”

“Our ambitions are not these, nothing and no one can be justified for the embarrassing spectacle shown in the first three games. There are no more extenuating circumstances or lightning rods for anyone, everyone must take their own responsibilities, no one excluded!”

“We invite all the Rossoneri fans to gather at 18.45 in front of the entrance ramp of the buses, to make the club, coach and players understand that September represents an already decisive crossroads for our season! With Milan always in the heart!”

The protest comes at a time of heightened tension around the club, with Paulo Fonseca’s recent press conference failing to calm the supporters’ concerns. As Milan prepares for a critical run of fixtures, the pressure is mounting on all levels of the organization to turn things around and meet the fans’ lofty expectations.
