Milan is actively seeking to bolster their attacking lineup following Olivier Giroud’s departure and the unsuccessful pursuit of Joshua Zirkzee, who ultimately joined Manchester United. The Rossoneri are now targeting two forwards, with Alvaro Morata and Niclas Füllkrug emerging as prime candidates.
Gianluca di Marzio reports that Morata’s potential move to Milan is expected to gain clarity after the EURO 2024 final, where his Spain faces England. The club has offered him a four-year contract with an option for a fifth year, and the player seems inclined to accept[2]. From Monday onwards, the deal could be finalized at any moment.
However, Milan’s ambitions extend beyond Morata. The club is also showing interest in Niclas Füllkrug, the German international currently playing for Borussia Dortmund. Füllkrug, who had an impressive EURO 2024 campaign, is seen as a potential partner for Morata in Milan’s attack.
The pursuit of Füllkrug could intensify from Monday, with initial contacts already established. The German striker might be open to leaving Dortmund for more playing time, especially considering the club’s recent acquisition of Guirassy.
While Milan has also considered Roma’s Tammy Abraham, a favorite of coach Paulo Fonseca, negotiations have not progressed significantly. Milan’s preference to include player exchanges, such as Luka Jovic, in the deal doesn’t align with Roma’s plans.
