Milan advance talks with Ricci: Top target for summer transfer window

Start

AC Milan are already laying the groundwork for their summer transfer strategy, with a focus on strengthening the Italian core of their squad. Recent developments suggest significant progress in their pursuit of Samuele Ricci, the 23-year-old Torino midfielder who has emerged as the Rossoneri’s primary target for June.

Calciomercato report that the Milan management has been actively working on this deal in recent days, taking concrete steps towards securing the Italian international for the 2025/26 season. While not an immediate reinforcement for January, Ricci is seen as a key addition for the upcoming campaign.

Discussions regarding personal terms are already at an advanced stage, with Milan seeking to reach an agreement on contract details with the player. The club, particularly sporting director Moncada, has been monitoring Ricci’s progress for some time, impressed by his exponential growth and the maturity he has shown in both technical and tactical aspects of his game.

Despite recently extending his contract with Torino until 2028, Ricci is valued between €25-30 million. The deal reportedly includes a “Bremer-style” clause, essentially a gentleman’s agreement allowing Ricci to leave if a suitable offer arrives. Torino appears prepared for this eventuality, with Cagliari’s Matteo Prati already identified as a potential replacement.
