Turkish centre-back Merih Demiral is reportedly high on Inter’s list as they look for replacements for Milan Skirniar. The Nerazzurri are looking to strengthen their back line and will reportedly renew the contract of Alessandro Bastoni, while Franceso Acerbi is expected to return to the club on a permanent basis this summer. Stefan de Vrij is also reportedly expected to renew his deal with the club, but the Nerazzuri won’t stop there.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Demiral is high on Inter’s list after they failed in their efforts to land Chelsea’s César Azpilicueta. The Nerazzurri are keen on the 25-year-old and only just failed to land him last year.
The player is reportedly set to leave Atalanta in the transfer window after informing them that he was unhappy they didn’t let him move in the January transfer window.
Demiral has already racked up a number of years of experience in Serie A, having turned out for La Dea, Sassuolo and Juventus in the last five years.
