Weston McKennie’s move to Leeds United is reportedly getting closer as Juventus are negotiating a fee for the midfielder. The two sides have been in talks since the start of the week over a potential transfer as the Premier League side are in need of an additional midfielder in their ranks.
Sky Sport Italia reported last night that Leeds have made an opening offer of €28m plus various add-ons and bonuses that would be linked to the players performance. The Bianconeri believe the player is worth more and are prepared to accept €35m to allow him to leave before next weeks transfer window deadline.
The Italian press report this morning that the deal is edging ever closer to completion and despite Juve’s higher request, two clubs are still in talks and negotiating a price.
Should the deal go through, McKennie would be playing alongside compatriots Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams, as well as coach Jesse Marsch.
