Napoli are expected to be without right-back Mathias Olivera for at least a month after it was confirmed that he’s injured his left knee ligaments. A statement on the clubs official website confirmed the news, stating:
Mathias Olivera, who was injured in the first half of yesterday’s match at Atalanta, was examined this morning at Villa Stuart by Professor Mariani, accompanied by Dr Canonico. It emerged that the Napoli defender has suffered a second-degree injury to the medial collateral ligament of his left knee.
Sky Sport Italia suggest that the Uruguayan international will be out for at least a month and a half.
