Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta shared his emotions and reflections at the premiere of “Inter, Two Stars on the Heart,” a film chronicling the club’s 20th Scudetto victory. The event took place at the Anteo cinema in Milan.
Marotta described the moment as particularly touching, saying, “Seeing this film again is a great emotion. Today seals an extraordinary journey of this team, the coach, and the entire Inter organization that achieved what was defined as a dream.” He emphasized the film’s historical significance, noting that it will remain a container full of the values experienced during the past season.
The Inter executive stressed that winning is not a matter of chance, stating, “Winning is something extraordinary, you don’t win by chance, all values emerge. In the end, those who deserve to win, win.” He highlighted the emotional impact of reliving the difficult moments and tensions of the past season, particularly the eve of the April 22nd derby against AC Milan.
Marotta took the opportunity to honor Inter’s rich history, mentioning past triumphs and key figures. “Today we celebrate the second star, but I can’t do it without remembering the past,” he said, recalling Scudetti won under coaches like Helenio Herrera and Giovanni Invernizzi, and presidents such as Ernesto Pellegrini, Giacinto Facchetti, and Massimo Moratti.
He also paid tribute to the various coaches who contributed to Inter’s success over the years, including José Mourinho, Antonio Conte, and current manager Simone Inzaghi. “What unites us is football, passion, love for this work and for Inter,” Marotta reflected.
The CEO emphasized the importance of passion and work ethic, stating, “The common denominator is the passion and work of all 176 protagonists of the ten Scudetti, accompanied by a great work culture. If there are no motivation and goals, no achievement is attainable.”
Marotta concluded by recalling the massive celebration on April 28th, where 500,000 fans lined the streets of Milan. “What remains with me from that evening is that football, when there is this passion, when there is faith in these colors, breaks down every ethnic, cultural, and economic barrier,” he said. “I saw many families celebrating together, things that only football gives and that Inter has given.”
