Inter Milan have once again responded to Rocco Commisso’s recent comments, with Giuseppe Marotta addressing the media at the Nereo Rocco Award ceremony in Coverciano. The Inter CEO emphasized the club’s compliance with financial regulations and touched on various other topics, including the Italian national team and Serie A.

Regarding Commisso’s accusations, Marotta stated, “I have great respect, but Inter fulfills all duties and financial and economic criteria imposed by FIGC and UEFA.” This response follows an earlier statement from Inter’s CEO Alessandro Antonello, further reinforcing the club’s position on the matter.

Marotta expressed optimism about the Italian national team, saying, “I’m confident about this group; the coach can take them far. It takes patience and time to amalgamate a new group, but they express a high-level quality.”

When asked about the “Council of Wise Men” initiative, Marotta explained, “It will soon be operational, but with a consultative and not executive spirit, following the Federation’s guidelines. Ours is just a contribution of experience to the Italian football movement: it’s right to hear the voice of those in the field.”

Regarding the level of Serie A, Marotta commented, “The grid of those interested in winning has been the same for years. I would add Atalanta with authority: they deserve recognition for what they’ve done and for the position they’ve acquired in recent years. Among those, there’s who will win the Scudetto.”
