Inter director Beppe Marotta believes Adriano Galliani “represents by far the best manager in Italian football” and shared his doubts on Juve’s plea deal. The comments came during a presentation of Galliani’s autobiography, “The Memoirs of Adriano G, where Marotta was among the guests. Speaking about his friend, Marotta said:
“Adriano represents by far the best manager in Italian football. I think he is an example to follow for the values he represents.”
Marotta was asked about Galliani’s comments, where he said, despite having represented Milan for so long, he will be in Istanbul to support Inter:
“We have an esteemed relationship, the fact that he is coming fills me with pride and pleasure. I have cheered for him on many occasions, I am pleased that this time he will be cheering for me.”
Finally, Marotta was pressed on the plea deal that Juventus have settled for, which saw them agree to pay a fine in exchange for a reduced settlement:
“It’s a situation that I don’t want to go into because it seems quite clear and obvious to me, that it was defined today. It is a page that is closed, let’s move forward with optimism. My opinion? I don’t know.”
