Inter Milan and their manager Simone Inzaghi can breathe a sigh of relief following Marcus Thuram’s ankle injury scare. The French striker underwent medical tests today after experiencing discomfort in his right ankle during the match against Torino at San Siro, where he impressively scored a hat-trick.
According to reports from Calciomercato, the examinations revealed no ligament damage. This positive news means Thuram will be able to join the French national team as planned. He is expected to arrive at Clairefontaine tomorrow, joining his teammates for France’s upcoming Nations League matches against Israel and Belgium.
This development comes as a great relief for Inzaghi and Inter Milan. Thuram had felt pain in his ankle following his spectacular three-goal performance, which marked a magical night for the French forward. It was a welcome return to scoring form for Thuram, who hadn’t found the net since August 30th when he scored a brace against Atalanta.
The hat-trick against Torino was only the second of Thuram’s career and his first in an Inter Milan shirt.
