Milan sporting director and club legend Paolo Maldini heavily praised the French full-back Theo Hernandez while speaking to the media.
So far this season, the the 25 year-old defender has been stellar for the Rosssonerri, bagging two goals and two assists in 13 appearances within the Serie A. Hernandez has provided a great deal of explosiveness and ruthlessness within Milan’s style of play when on the attack.
The Frenchman never ceased to improve since his arrival to the San Siro, helping Milan clinch the league-title last season and playing an immense role in their resurgence within the Champions League.
While speaking into the microphones of Milan Tv, as per Tuttomercatoweb, Maldini provided his thoughts on the world-class left-footed defender:
“If Theo plays a third of his games for Milan, he beats me: this is very clear; I’ve never been a striker. If he surpasses me, I’d be happy. Theo is a very particular full-back: he’s absolutely a full-back, but what he does it no one else does, above all for his ability to finish, to assist and to come onto the pitch. He has slightly revised the modern idea of the full-back. Especially the first year it seemed he was waiting for the 70th to make these sprints that they have something incredible, especially if you think that the finalization or the assist come after 70 meters of running with the ball at his feet”.
