Olympique Lyonnais, the French Ligue 1 side, have reportedly initiated discussions with AC Milan regarding a potential transfer for United States international midfielder Yunus Musah. This development comes as Lyon continues its ambitious summer spending spree, having already invested over €125 million in new signings.
According to French outlet Footmercato, while talks have begun, Lyon has yet to submit a formal offer for Musah. The negotiations are still in their early stages, with no agreement reached between Lyon and the player himself.
Musah, who joined AC Milan just last August in a €20 million deal from Valencia, has quickly become a subject of transfer speculation. The initial transfer saw Milan pay €18 million upfront, with an additional €2 million in performance-related bonuses.
Currently, AC Milan is believed to value Musah at around €22 million, a slight increase from his initial transfer fee. The 21-year-old midfielder has had a solid first season in Italy, making 30 appearances in Serie A, along with five in the Champions League and four in the Europa League.
Musah’s international experience is also noteworthy, having earned 39 caps for the United States national team. He has represented his country at both the World Cup and the recent Copa America, adding to his appeal as a transfer target.
