Following Belgium’s 3-0 victory over Sweden within the Euro 2024 qualifiers, Inter striker Romelu Lukaku provided his insight on his overall display.
Despite suffering a rough patch this season after a series of injuries since returning to Inter on a loan deal from Premier League giants Chelsea, the 29 year-old managed to send sound waves across Europe with his stellar display on the national level, sealing a hat trick against the Swedish national side to seal three vital points.
With Lukaku having only managed to find the back of the net three times in 15 appearances for the Nerazzurri, the Belgian marksman hopes that he can use this impressive performance as a turning point for the remainder of the season.
While speaking to the media, as relayed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku expressed his readiness to return to the Serie A and help contribute in a more consistent matter. “Now I’m ready to show what I have inside” stated Lukaku following the win over Sweden.
