Luca Toni, the former Juventus striker, has expressed strong confidence in Dusan Vlahovic’s potential to achieve a 30-goal season with Juventus. Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato), Toni highlighted the promising start Vlahovic has made in the current campaign and the numerous opportunities he has already created.
“Vlahovic? We are only at the beginning, but the signs are encouraging from this point of view: he has scored two goals, but he has had chances and with less bad luck, he could have scored a few more. Juventus will play many matches, participating in five competitions: yes, I am convinced that Dusan can also reach 30 goals,” Toni stated.
Toni also discussed the synergy between Vlahovic and his teammates, particularly emphasizing the role of Koopmeiners. “Koopmeiners and Vlahovic can make each other’s fortune, even in the goal area. The Dutchman’s through balls will be fundamental for Dusan. But I am convinced that the Serbian’s movements will free up important spaces for Koop, very poisonous when he takes aim. Yildiz will also be very valuable, as he can become Juventus’ revelation. The new number 10 is a modern player: he has creativity, can beat his man, and then there’s the Bayern school, a guarantee.”
Additionally, Toni shared his thoughts on Francisco Conceiçao, another promising talent at Juventus. “He has interesting skills, is very quick, and is good in one-on-one situations: football is moving in this direction. I am also curious to see him at Juve. I expect a lot from Nico Gonzalez, who at Fiorentina has had ups and downs: but the player is not in question.”
