Lotito: ‘Milinkovic-Savic costs €120m now’

Start

Lazio President Claudio Lotito insists there is no agreement with Juventus for the sale of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, saying that the players value is only rising. A report in yesterdays Gazzetta dello Sport suggested that Juve were going to make another bid to sign the Serbian midfielder and that the player and his agent had an agreement in place to leave, if the price is right.

Speaking to Il Messaggero, Lotito dismissed the idea that Juve would have first refusal on the midfielder.

“I have no agreement with his agent Kezman to sell him to Juventus or anyone else in the winter. On the contrary, he is now worth €120m, not €100m. Every month the price goes up.

Lazio? Beyond the great 4-0 victory on Monday night in Florence, I am satisfied with the spirit I saw again. As I have already said, if we continue with this attitude we will not set ourselves limits and we can go far.

I chose Sarri because he is a great teacher of football, but also because of his human aspect.”
