Lazio President Claudio Lotito has once again dismissed the idea of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic joining Juventus: ‘He costs €100m’. The Serbian midfielder is one of the most in-demand players in Serie A as his current deal with the Biancocelesti is due to end in June 2024. Juve are reportedly looking to get ahead of the queue with reports suggesting they have already met the players agent in Turin in recent days.
Lazio were defeated 3-0 by the Bianconeri at the weekend and Milinkovic-Savic was applauded by the Juventus Stadium as he left the pitch. Speaking to Il Messaggero (Quoted by TuttoJuve.com) Lotito was left unimpressed by the gesture and expects The Old Lady to pay up if they want their man:
Milinkovic? I’m not selling him, and I don’t give a damn about the applause. Money counts, bring at least €100 million to see him in a Juventus jersey.”
Juventus are expected to lose Adrien Rabiot on a free next summer and want to find a suitable replacement with ‘SmS’ top of the list.
