Lazio owner and president Claudio Lotito says he won’t sell Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, insisting instad: ‘I’ll renew his contract’. The Serbian midfielder has been one of the most in-demand midfielders since his breakthrough season with the Biancocelesti in 2016-17, but despite rumours linking him with a move away every summer, he has remained in the capital.
Recent reports have linked the 27-year-old with a move to Juventus next summer, but despite the rumours, Lotito insisted he is not selling the player:
I won’t sell Milinkovic-Savic, I will offer him the renewal,” the president told Il Messaggero. “Today he is worth €120 million and every month that passes the price goes up more and more.
Lazio? I am proud of this team, they’re playing beautifully and getting lots of points in the league.
The transfer market? We will see what to do, together with Sarri, but it is clear that much will also depend on the competitions that we will have to face in the second part of the season.
Felipe Anderson? Sarri is convinced that he is a potential phenomenon, even in that role. And I’ve always thought so too.”
