Lotito: ‘I rejected €140 million from Milan for Milinkovic-Savic’

Start

Lazio president Claudio Lotito claims he rejected a €140 million offer from Milan for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Serbian international is closing in on a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, and speaking with Il Messaggero, Lotito revealed that a deal is close to being completed, even though the fee has dropped from what he previously was offered@

“I would not have sold him, I offered him an extension at almost €6 million, Sergej chose his future.”

“Milan trying to sign him? It’s true, I decided to refuse an offer from Galliani of €140 million. It was €60 million right away and another €80m, payable over five years with the Champions League. I did not regret it.”

“Agents commissions? No to commissions for Kezman. The Arabs will take care of those, they have already won with money.”

“Al-Hilal’s offer is less than €50 million. If I had waited for the right one, I would never have sold him, but I always keep my promises and I had made a commitment to the boy that I would accept the lowest offer for him.”

“If the contract is not signed and payment made, he will go into the summer training camp. Pay coin, see camel.”
