In a recent interview with the Slovakian podcast VAR, Napoli midfielder Stanislav Lobotka shed light on Antonio Conte’s arrival at the club and his own future with the Italian side.
Lobotka, who has started all three of Napoli’s matches this season, disclosed that Conte made some swift decisions upon joining the team. “As soon as Conte arrived, he decided that four players would not be going anywhere. And there’s not much you can do about it,” the Slovakian midfielder revealed.
The 29-year-old also addressed rumors about his potential departure from Napoli, stating, “I still have a valid contract here. There aren’t many places you can go from Napoli. But I’m happy to have stayed.”
Lobotka expressed contentment with his current situation at the club, saying, “I’m happy in Naples, I’m not in a hurry to go anywhere. Now I’m at my age and I think differently than when I was 23. I’m still under contract and whatever happens, will happen.”
The midfielder also touched upon his relationship with Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, reiterating his satisfaction with life at the club.
