Marcello Lippi reflected on his career, calling the 2006 World Cup win the greatest satisfaction of his career former. The former Juve and Inter coach spoke to Radio TV Serie A about his career to date, the situation in Serie A and the Champions League and achievements of Max Allegri, who recently equaled his record for games manager with the Bianconeri:

“Allegri’s coaching record? It depends a lot on age, he is much younger than me. However, I am happy because I consider him a very good coach. Juve today is trying to become great again and I believe it will succeed because it’s in the history of this club”.

“Champions League? It’s difficult to say when one of our teams will return to winning at international level. This year Inter give me the impression of being very strong, we’ll see what they’ll be able to do in the Champions League.

“My career? There are many things that give me great satisfaction, for example the three consecutive Champions League finals with Juventus. It means that you have great players at your disposal and you are able to make them perform at their best. The 2006 World Cup was the greatest satisfaction of my career. Before the penalties in the final against France, I was already sure we would win because I saw great confidence in my players.”
