Marcello Lippi spoke with Sky Sport Italia ahead of the Derby D’Italia and explained what kind of match he expects:
“I expected Juve and Inter to play a high level championship, but to be honest, I expected other teams to do so as well. Instead they seem to be slightly behind. There may be some closeness but I think these two will play for the championship”.
“Of Juve I like the great solidity, they don’t have a spectacular playing form but they are determined. Inter play better and are very strong. We’ll enjoy watching them against each other. Allegri has shown that he builds concrete teams, Inzaghi is proving that he has the ability to manage this level of squad.”
“The fact of not having the cup competitions, I think can be an advantage for Juventus, unless Inter find a psychological boost in advancing round after round in Europe. However, preparing matches without commitments during the week helps a lot.”
