AC Milan bounced back with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Udinese, showcasing resilience, determination, and character. This crucial win provided Paulo Fonseca with the response he sought from his squad following their defeat against Fiorentina before the international break.

Former defender and pundit Lele Adani came to Fonseca’s defense after Milan’s narrow triumph. In an Instagram story, Adani offered his analysis of the match and the manager’s decisions:

“Let’s put things in order: Leao, Tomori, Abraham, and Loftus-Cheek were out due to technical choices; Theo Hernandez was suspended. We saw half an hour of brilliant football, followed by an hour of tremendous sacrifice from the entire team, both individually and collectively. Yet, they never stopped seeking a second goal, which they deserved on a couple of occasions.”

Adani emphasized the strong connection between Fonseca and his players, dismissing rumors of dressing room discord:

“If you have the dressing room against you, you don’t get those kinds of performances from your players, either individually or as a team. So Fonseca is not only a great coach, but he’s also a great man with two balls as big as melons.”
